Camrose Rotary Pints for Polio Pub Walk was a huge success!! We had 40 Rotarians and friends come out Friday night, November 1st, to support our awareness and fundraising event for the End Polio Now campaign. We visited 4 pubs where we were treated to a drink and some food. We had a raffle and/or a game at each stop. A thousand thank you's to our sponsor pubs: Tap Room Bar + Brewery at the Norsemen Inn, Canadian Brewhouse, Geo's Sports Lounge and the Boston Pizza Lounge, all who donated food, drinks and prizes. The staff at each place were fantastic! D&D Vehicle Sales donated use of a large van so we made sure everyone arrived home safely. Thanks to all the Pub Walkers, Pubs and community donations we raised over $2,100. This will be matched 2:1 by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation and grow to over $6,300! Enough to help vaccinate 10,000 children.
