Camrose Catch the Ace is an online progressive raffle, benefiting Camrose charities. The Rotary Club of Camrose Daybreak holds the raffle licence on behalf of the Camrose Elks, Royal Purple, Kinettes, Kinsmen, Lions and both Rotary clubs. A major project is selected to receive funds accumulated in all draws. The bi-weekly draw host club selects a charity to receive funds from the bi-weekly draw.

The raffle is a series of two-week ticket sale events where a draw from the tickets sold is held to find the draw winner who then has an opportunity to win an accumulated pool of money by selecting the Ace of Spades in a card draw.

Tickets are available online only and only to Alberta residents: $10 for 1, $20 for 4, $50 for 20 and $100 for 100.
  • Sales deadline is 6:00 p.m. every other Wednesday; there is no limit to the number of tickets sold for each draw.
  • At the beginning of the raffle, 52 playing cards are hidden in envelopes.
  • The card selected at each draw is removed from play, reducing the number of cards available in the next draw.
  • The raffle ends when the Ace of Spades is selected, all funds are dispersed at that time.
Weekly ticket sales are split into three portions:
  • 40% for prizes:
    • 20% for the Bi-Weekly Prize – to each bi-weekly draw winner
    • 20% for the Progressive Catch the Ace Jackpot – to the bi-weekly winner whose envelope reveals the Ace of Spades
  • 40% for charities:
    • 20% to each Bi-Weekly charity by donation from the host club
    • 20% to the progressive Major Charity
  • 20% for expenses:
    • 10% for rafflebox and card processor charges
    • 10% for advertising and other expenses
Tickets are valid for each bi-weekly draw only and are removed before the next bi-weekly draw commences.
